Agartala, Oct. 17 -- Aloke Kumar Chakraborty has officially assumed the position of Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF) for the Tripura Frontier today, following the transfer of A.K. Sharma to the Manipur Frontier.
A highly decorated officer, IG Chakraborty brings extensive operational and administrative expertise that spans decades. His accolades include Police Medal for Meritorious Service, the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Medal, and the Ati Utkrisht Sewa Padak.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has worked along the Indo-Bangladesh and Indo-Pakistan borders, in addition to his contributions on the Line of Control (LC) and significant involvement in Anti-Naxal initiatives.
