Jaipur, Oct. 9 -- A driver was burnt alive and several others sustained injuries, three of them seriously, in a massive fire involving multiple vehicles near Dudu on the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway late last night.
According to official sources, the fire broke out around 11:30 PM near Savarda village when a tanker carrying benzene (a flammable chemical) collided with a stationary truck loaded with LPG cylinders, which was parked outside a roadside dhaba.
The impact of the collision was so intense that both vehicles caught fire instantly.
The flames quickly engulfed the tanker's cabin and the entire LPG-laden truck.
The tanker driver, trapped inside the burning cabin, had no chance to escape and was burnt alive despite desperate cries for help....
