Bahraich (UP), Sept. 15 -- A 26-year-old youth died in a leopard attack in Katarniaghat Wildlife Division of Bahraich district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said today.
According to sources, the incident took place in Mazra Trimuhani of Harkhapur village of Murtiha Kotwali area of Dharmapur Range last evening.
"The deceased has been identified as Indal, who had gone out of his house for daily activities at around 8 pm last night," they said.
Police said that when Indal reached near the bushes, a leopard hiding there suddenly attacked him.
"Hearing Indal's screams, the villagers ran towards the spot, but by then it was too late. The leopard had seriously injured Indal, due to which he died on the spot," they added.
