Chennai, May 29 -- The 9th edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League(TNPL) which has unearthed several talents over the years, will begain on June 9.

Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) sources said the matches to be played in four venues--Coimbatore, Salem, Tirunelveli, and Dindigul.

The final will be held Dindigul on July 6.

Th event promises to be a treat of high-octane matches for cricket fans in the districts.

The TNPL, which attracts attention from across the cricket world, will feature eight franchises and 32 matches, opening with a fixture between defending champions Dindigul Dragons and last year's runner-up Lyca Kovai Kings under lights at the Textile city of Coimbatore on June 5.
