Hyderabad, Aug. 11 -- On the occasion of National Deworming Day, State Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha launched a statewide campaign by distributing Albendazole tablets to students at the Telangana Social Welfare Gurukul School in Shaikpet, Hyderabad today.
As part of the initiative, deworming tablets are being administered to around 98 lakh children across all government and private schools as well as Anganwadi centres in the state.
Speaking at the event, the Minister said the health and safety of children is the government's responsibility.
