Chandigarh, July 30 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today handed over regular appointment letters to 942 contractual employees of the Forest Department, ending over a decade of uncertainty for these workers.

The move was hailed as a significant step towards securing their future. Speaking at the event, where appointment letters were also distributed to candidates from the Housing & Urban Development Department, Mann said, "We have eliminated the word 'contractual' from these employees' lives by overcoming all legal and administrative hurdles.
