Dharamshala, Dec. 17 -- Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state media co-incharge Advocate Vishva Chakshu has termed the non-payment of old-age pension for the past five months to 94-year-old Bhagwan Dass Sharma of the Sunhi area under Bargran police station in Kangra district as a 'glaring example of the inhuman and insensitive functioning of the Congress government'.
Addressing mediapersons here on Monday, Chakshu alleged that while the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led government makes tall claims about respect and security of the elderly, senior citizens are being forced to depend on others even for medicines, ration and daily necessities.
