Anantapur, July 18 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana has announced that the government aims to clear over 85 lakh tonnes of garbage by October 2, of which 55 lakh tonnes of garbage has already been removed so far.

The Municipal Administration Minister, flanked by MLA Daggupati Venkateswara Prasad, District Collector Vinod Kumar, unveiled the plaques for various development works including garbage processing unit and the construction of road drainage canals, on Friday.
