Mumbai, March 10 -- The Maharashtra State Board has suspended 81 staff members after cases of copying were detected at several centres during the ongoing SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) examinations.
Officials said CCTV surveillance installed at examination centres helped identify instances of mass copying, following which disciplinary action was taken against staff members in different districts.
The highest number of suspensions was reported from an examination centre in Chausala in Beed district, where 17 staff members were suspended.
In Kannad taluka of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, a copying case at an examination centre led to a police complaint against 24 individuals.
