New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- Around 75 Nepal jail escapees who had tried to enter into India, have been apprehended by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at the border, sources said on Saturday.
They were held from the Indo- Nepal border in states including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal.
So far, eight have been apprehended at the Indo- Nepal border in Uttarakhand, 22- Uttar Pradesh, 43- Bihar, and two - West Bengal, while they attempted to sneak-in to India through different checkpoints.
These inmates, who had escaped from Nepal prisons during the September 8-9 unrest, have been handed over to the local police by the SSB, as per the procedure for further relevant action and legal procedure.
