Shillong, Feb. 20 -- The Meghalaya government has identified 747 critical water sources in the state for rejuvenation, State Public Engineering (PHE) Minister, Marcuise Marak said.

"We (government) have initiated corrective measures to revive 747 water sources in response to the severe water and power crisis caused by their depletion," Marak said.

He added : "We are implementing sustainable water management and conservation measures to lessen the impact on both power generation and daily water supply,"
