Shillong, Sept. 11 -- Chief Minister Conrad Sangma told the assembly that all employees under the Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) are local youth.
Replying to a volley of queries posed by opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) legislator Adelbert Nongrum during question hour on the fourth day of the ongoing autumn session, Sangma said today that 729 local youth were working under MBDA, maintaining that the recruitment was carried out in a "very professional and transparent manner."He added that there are no regular government employees working full-time with the MBDA.
