Patna, Jan. 10 -- To tone up the law and order, Bihar government today transferred 71 officers of Indian Police Service (IPS).
According to a notification issued late this evening, one Director General rank officer, three Additional Directors Generals (ADG) of Police and 14 Police Superintendents have been transferred.
ADG rank officer Kundan Krishnan has been promoted to the Director General rank. Five SSP rank officers have been promoted to the DIG rank.
The notification said that ADG Police (Headquarters) Kundan Krishnan has been designated as Director General of Police (Operations) for the Special Task Force (STF). He will also hold additional charge as Director General of the Special Branch.
