Bhoranj (HP), Dec. 27 -- A 7-year-old girl ran away from her home after her mother forbade her from using a mobile phone. The child was later traced by the police and safely reunited with her parents the same evening.

The incident occurred on Friday in a village in the Bhoranj area, where a migrant family from Uttar Pradesh resides. The head of the family, a mechanic by profession, had left for work in the morning, while his wife was at home with their three children.

The eldest daughter, aged seven, was watching cartoons on a mobile phone when her mother asked her to stop and eat her meal. When the child ignored her request, the mother scolded her, which upset the young girl.
