Ahilyanagar, July 31 -- A 65-year old man hacked his 60-year-old wife to death with an axe, suspecting her of infidelity, in the plateau area of Ghargav in Sangamner taluka of this district in the early hours of today.
A case of murder has been registered in the Ghargaon police in this regard.
The information received from the police is that, suspecting the character of Chandrakala Dagadu Khandare (60) of Khandare Vasti in Ghargav, the husband Dagadu Laxman Khandare (65) attacked his wife with an axe and killed her.
Following a complaint filed by their son Bhima Dagadu Khandare (40), the Ghargaon police have registered a case against the accused husband Khandare under Section 103 (1) of the Indian Penal Code.
