Hazaribag, Dec. 17 -- : The 33rd batch of pilgrims under the 'MP Pilgrimage Drive', an initiative launched by Hazaribag Lok Sabha MP Manish Jaiswal, was flagged off on Wednesday from Ward No. 10 of Lakhe under the Sadar block. A large gathering of locals participated in the send-off ceremony marked by religious fervour, flower showers and a devotional procession through the locality.
Social worker Shraddhanand Singh, who attended as the chief guest, said the campaign was turning the long-cherished pilgrimage aspirations of common people into reality. He, along with several public representatives and community leaders, welcomed the pilgrims, washed their feet as a mark of respect and offered blessings for a safe journey.
