Jaipur, Aug. 13 -- Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the Congress and its INDI allies intend to convey a strong message against the "unprecedented" "theft of votes (Vote Chori)".

"What is happening in the country is a serious development, this is a threat to democracy. For instance in Bihar 60 lakh voters have so far been deleted from the revised electoral rolls and not even a single name added," the senior Congress leader alleged.

The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has submitted the relevant "vote chori" data, however, the Election Commission of India (ECI) was still demanding an affidavit from him, Gehlot said.
