Mainpuri, Nov. 26 -- A road accident on Wednesday morning shook the Kotwali area of Mainpuri, after a speeding dumper crushed a six-year-old schoolgirl to death on Karhal Road near the city.
The victim, identified as Goranshi Mishra, a Class 1 student of St. Mary School, died on the spot.
According to reports, Goranshi, originally a resident of Kakan village under the Bewar police station area, was currently living with her family in Shringar Nagar.
Like every day, she was on her way to school around 8 am with her cousin, Sonakshi Mishra, on a scooter. As they approached the Shringar Nagar turn, a sand-laden dumper coming from behind rammed into their scooter at high speed.
