Ranchi, Sept. 7 -- All six workers trapped in Friday's mine accident in Dhanbad district have been confirmed dead, after rescue teams of NDRF and BCCL recovered the remaining three bodies on Saturday.

The mishap took place at the Ambe outsourcing project under Angarpathra OP area of BCCL's Area-4 when a service van carrying the workers was buried under sliding rocks and plunged into a deep pit.

Three bodies were recovered on Friday, while the joint rescue operation continued through the night and pulled out the remaining three on Saturday.

One of the bodies was found trapped under boulders and another in deep water.
