Hazaribagh, Oct. 9 -- The state government has suspended six government officials, including the Jailor of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan Central Jail, Hazaribagh, following serious allegations of negligence and irregularities. Additionally, the services of six contractual warders, all ex-servicemen, have been terminated with immediate effect.
According to police sources, the decision came after the recent arrest of a former jail constable, which led to a departmental inquiry uncovering multiple lapses.
The investigation revealed unauthorized access granted to outsiders inside the jail premises and allegations that some staff members were providing undue facilities to inmates.
