Mathura, Sept. 25 -- In a shocking incident that has raised serious questions about law and order, six armed assailants opened fire outside the residence of BJP District President Nirbhay Pandey last night.
The attack took place in the Narsee Village Colony area around 10:00 PM, despite heightened security across the city due to President Droupadi Murmu's visit.
According to Pandey, he received a call earlier in the evening, around 8:30 PM, from a man identifying himself as Lokesh Pandit.
The caller questioned him about supporting Jassi Kinnar, a local figure involved in a land dispute. Pandey said he was helping Jassi as part of his responsibilities as a BJP leader. The call was abruptly disconnected.
