Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra), May 26 -- The water situation in Marathwada area has turned alarming with 573 water tankers quenching the thirst of over 370 villages and 149 hamlets in eight districts of the region.
Of the eight districts the worst-affected are Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna and Beed.
The divisional commissioner office issued data on Monday stating that Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district was worst-hit across the region, where people of 184 villages and 32 hamlets were provided water through 273 tankers.
In Jalna district, 116 villages and 25 hamlets were getting water through 190 tankers.
In Beed district, 57 water tankers are supplying potable water to 46 villages and 58 hamlets.
