Hyderabad, Dec. 19 -- Telangana Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy on Friday said 54 Maoists from the state are still underground, including two state committee members and four area committee membrs.
Talking to media on the occasion of the surrender of 41 underground Maoist cadre along with 24 firearms, Reddy said many key Maoists are operating in other states, including Chhattisgarh.
Five out of the seven centrtal committee members of CPI (Maoist) are natives of Telangana, highlighting the significance of the state in the organisation's leadership structure, the DGP said.
