Islamabad, Sept. 2 -- Strong earthquake tremors shook parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Tuesday, sending waves of panic among residents, according to the National Seismological Centre.
The quake, measuring 5.4 in magnitude, was felt across Swat, Malakand, Dir, Mohmand, and even reached Islamabad and Peshawar.
The earthquake struck at a depth of 22 kilometers, with its epicenter in southeastern Afghanistan. Tremors were felt in Swat, Malakand, Landikotal, Mohmand, Lower Dir, and Upper Dir, Jamrud, while shocks were also reported in Islamabad, Peshawar, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.
