Kolhapur, Aug. 1 -- Taking note of people's emotions regarding translocation of a 36-year-old elephant, Madhuri alias Mahadevi, from the Jain Math at Nandani in Kolhapur district to the Reliance-owned Vantara project in Gujarat's Jamnagar, a five-member team from Vantara today visited the Nandani Jain Math to discuss the issue and find a way out.

This comes as the Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana national president and former MP Raju Shetty announced that a 45-km long 'Atmaclesh' Muk padyatra would be taken out from Nandani to Kolhapur on August 3 to demand the return of Mahadevi elephant.
