Hyderabad, Nov. 11 -- A voter turnout of 48.42 per cent was recorded in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, which began at 0700 hours and concluded at 1800 hours on Tuesday.

According to the District Election Office, polling progressed steadily throughout the day with 9.2 per cent turnout recorded at 0900 hours, 31.94 per cent by 1300 hours, 40.20 per cent by 1500 hours and 47.16 per cent by 1700 hours, eventually reaching 48.42 per cent by the close of polling.
