Jalgaon, April 15 -- In a major development in the Shalarth scam, the Nashik Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued notices to 48 officials from the Education Department for hearings.
The notices were served on Wednesday to current and former education officers, deputy education officers, and staff from the secondary education department in Jalgaon.
The case dates back to 2025, when a team from Nashik's Economic Offences Wing visited Jalgaon and investigated 10 schools. During the probe, headmasters and institution operators were questioned, and crucial documents were seized.
