New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar today visited the Bhalswa Landfill site to inspect the waste disposal work on the occasion of the Seva Pakhwada that began in Delhi to mark PM Narendra Modi's birthday.
He stated that the 45 Lakh metric tons of legacy waste accumulated at the Bhalswa landfill site will be disposed of before October 2 next year.
The minister said he would personally oversee this work and that all agencies would work together in this direction.
He stated that after Bio remediation approximately 25 acres of land has been cleared at the Bhalswa landfill site of which five acres have been developed as bamboo gardens and the remaining 20 acres have been used for installation...
