New Delhi/Hyderabad, Nov. 17 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Monday expressed profound shock over the horrific bus accident in Saudi Arabia that claimed the lives of 45 pilgrims from Hyderabad and one from Karnataka.
The tragedy occurred early Monday when the bus carrying 46 Umrah pilgrims travelling from Mecca to Medina caught fire after colliding with an oil tanker.
Speaking at a media conference at his official residence in Delhi, he said the incident was particularly heartbreaking as most of the victims were from the Secunderabad parliamentary constituency.
He immediately contacted Suhail Ajaz Khan, India's diplomat in Saudi Arabia, and briefed External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is monitoring the situation...
