42,000 people in Sangli have applied for disability certificates: Minister Chandrakant Patil

Sangli (Maharashtra), Sept. 16 -- More than 42,000 people in Sangli district have submitted online applications for the disability certificate, said State higher and technical education Minister Chandrakant Patil.

Of these, 30,521 disabled people have been approved for Unified Disability ID certificates, he said.

"Disability is not a limitation but a new opportunity and the disabled should bring their hidden talents to the society and live their lives with confidence and positively," said Patil.

Mr Patil, who is also district guardian minister, was speaking at Unified Disability ID (UDID) certificate distribution ceremony to the Divyangs, which was organized at the District Planning Committee Hall in the District Collector's Office.
