Imphal, Nov. 24 -- Security Forces, in coordination with the Manipur Police, Forest Department, and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), carried out a series of intensified anti-narcotics and law-enforcement operations across Manipur yesterday, targeting illegal poppy cultivation networks.

In a significant operation in the hill ranges of Kotlen village under Kangpokpi Police Station, authorities destroyed approximately 41 acres of illicit poppy plantations. During the raid, teams also dismantled 23 makeshift huts and seized cultivation materials including nine bags of fertilizers, eleven packets of herbicides, four bags of salt, and other tools.
