Hyderabad, Dec. 11 -- A major fire broke out on Thursday at the SPR Hills Ground in Rahamatnagar of Jubilee Hills constituency, triggering panic as flames quickly spread to several parked vehicles.
Three cars and an auto-rickshaw were completely gutted in the blaze, while a few nearby vehicles also sustained damage before fire personnel brought the situation under control.
Locals who first noticed the fire alerted the police and fire services. Firefighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames, preventing the blaze from spreading further. Police cordoned off the area and evacuated people as a precaution.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, police said.
