Islamabad, May 30 -- At least four people were killed and 10 others injured in rain-related incidents across different districts of Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, rescue officials said on Friday.
According to the spokesperson for Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bilal Ahmad Faizi, the fatalities occurred after a series of lightning strikes and structural collapses amid extremely heavy rain in the province on Thursday evening.
Rescue officials rushed to the sites after the incident and shifted bodies and the injured to nearby hospitals, said the official, adding that disaster teams, along with local residents, have also been clearing the blocked roads.
