Lucknow, Sept. 9 -- At least four Kathmandu-bound international flights were diverted to the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport here today due to the violence in Nepal.
According to airport sources here, Indigo Airlines flight 6E-1153, going from Delhi to Kathmandu, was diverted at 2:30 pm.
There were 160 passengers and six crew members on board the plane. After circling for some time over Kathmandu airport, the plane was diverted towards Lucknow. In coordination with the air traffic control, the plane landed safely at the airport here.
