Shimla, July 1 -- Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh is facing severe devastation due to heavy monsoon rains and multiple cloudbursts.

During the past 15 hours, Sandhole recorded 224 mm of rainfall, Mandi 216 mm, and Pandoh 215 mm, causing flash floods and landslides.

Four people have lost their lives, while four were injured, and 16 others are missing. Rescue teams have saved 287 people, including 233 in Mandi, 51 in Hamirpur, and three in Chamba. Houses, roads, and bridges have been damaged, with 10 homes and 12 cowsheds destroyed.

A key bridge was washed away, and NH-305 remains blocked, leaving many stranded.
