Lucknow, Oct. 25 -- The four-day-long Chhath festival began across Uttar Pradesh today with Nahay-Khaay, marking the start of the auspicious celebrations with great religious fervour.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will participate in the Chhath festivities on the banks of the Gomti River in Lucknow on October 27, where he will offer Arghya to the setting Sun.
According to the schedule, Kharna will be observed on October 26, followed by evening Arghya to the setting Sun on October 27 and morning Arghya to the rising Sun on October 28, concluding the festival.
