Hyderabad, March 29 -- In a major crackdown on drunken driving, Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police together booked 377 motorists during special enforcement drives conducted over the weekend to enhance road safety.
Hyderabad Traffic Police carried out a two-day special drive on March 27 and 28, during which 239 drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol. Among them, 190 were two-wheeler riders, 18 were three-wheeler drivers, and 31 were four-wheeler and other vehicle drivers.
Officials said that based on Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels, 55 cases were recorded in the 30-50 mg/100 ml range, 101 in 51-100 mg, 42 in 101-150 mg, 29 in 151-200 mg, seven in 201-250 mg, three in 251-300 mg, and two cases involved level...
