Hyderabad, Nov. 22 -- In a major setback to the Maosist, as many as 37 underground cadres of the banned CPI (Maoist), including three state committee members (SCM) and 25 women -- carrying a cumulative bounty of more than Rs 1.41 crore on their heads -- surrendered before the Telangana police, here on Saturday.

The police cited multiple reasons, including ideological divergence, internal rifts within the leadership and health condition. Most of the 25 surrendered women are below 20-years and belong to Chhattisgarh.
