Chennai, Sept. 27 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin is rushing to Karur tongihtitself where 33 people have died during a stampede at a politicaly rally organised by TVKFounder and actor-turned-neta Vijay earlier in the evening.
Official sources said Mr Stalin, who chaired a high level emergency meeting convened atthe State Secretariat and reviewed the situation, has decided to rush to Karur tonight itself.
He was earlier scheduled to leave for Karur tomorrow morning, but considering the gravityof the tragedy, he has decided to visit Karur tonight itself.
Mr Stalin will meet the injured people undergoing treatment at the Karur Government MedicalCollege Hospital and also console the fmaily members of the deceased.
