Hyderabad, June 28 -- In a major push to promote commercial agriculture, about 32,000 oil palm saplings were planted on 557 acres across various mandals of Rangareddy district of Telangana in a single day on Saturday.
The initiative covered lands belonging to 111 farmers in Chevella, Manchala, Kandukuru, Talakondapalli, and Farukhnagar mandals.
Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao participated in a programme at Devuni Erravelli village of Chevella mandal, along with local MLA Kale Yadayya.
