Bareilly, Jan. 23 -- A 30-year-old event manager was brutally murdered in Bareilly, and police have arrested her close friend in connection with the crime. The deceased has been identified as Pooja Rana, a resident of Durganagar in the Baradari area, police said on Friday.
According to police, the accused, Vimal, allegedly first administered an intoxicant to Pooja and then strangled her to death using a muffler. To avoid suspicion, he buried her body in a field behind KCMT College.
