Pune, June 21 -- Maharashtra Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Jayakumar Gore said here on Saturday that 30 lakh houses have been approved in a year under the central government's scheme 'Houses for All'.
He said Rs 65,000 crores has been approved for this and 50 percent of the houses will be completed in a year under this. He praised the officials of the Rural Development Department for their good work.
He also said that both Maha Awas and Sant Gadge Baba Gram Swachhta campaigns are important for rural development and appealed that Gram Panchayats should play an important role for a clean, beautiful and plastic-free Maharashtra.
