Mumbai, Aug. 13 -- The Hajj Committee of India today conducted a digital draw, selecting 30,000 pilgrims for Hajj 2026. The draw, held at Hajj House in Mumbai, was for applicants who had applied for the pilgrimage. Hajj Committee CEO Shahnawaz stated that 3,500 applications were received for the short 20-day Hajj option during the 20-day submission window. The selection process began at 11:30 am with Quranic recitations. Provisional and waitlisted pilgrims will be notified via SMS and the committee's official website. Selected applicants have been given a tight deadline to pay an advance fee. They must pay Rs 1,52,300 to the Hajj Committee's account by August 20, 2025.
