Kangra, Aug. 19 -- Kangra valley was rocked late last evening by an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter with its epicenter at Kangra. No loss of life and property was reported from any part of the valley. The people in panic rushed out of their houses when the quake struck at 21:28 hrs. The entire valley experienced the tremor. The earthquake was recorded at a latitude 32.23 North and longitude 76.38 East with depth of 10 kms in Kangra region. Reports of the earthquake was received from Palampur, Dharamshala, Shahapur and other parts of district. The tremor was experienced for a few seconds. Official sources told UNI that no report of any loss of life and property was received from any part of the district following the tremors.
