New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The Election Commission today said that approximately 3.80 lakh applications have been submitted by first-time voters aged 18 and above during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, marking a significant step towards increased youth participation in the democratic process.

The process of filing claims and objections against the draft electoral roll, released on August 1, is currently underway. With seven days remaining, citizens have the opportunity to request corrections, additions or deletions in the draft list, the Election Commission said.
