Patna, May 20 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that so far 3.75 crore Ayushman cards have been made in the state and Rs 1 thousand crore were spent during the financial year 2024-25 on the treatment of the poor in the state.
Addressing an official function, Pandey said here on Tuesday that the scheme was initiated to provide high-quality treatment to the poor people.
He said that a three-day special campaign would be launched on May 26 to make Ayushman cards up to the panchayat level in Bihar.
The Minister said that till now, 1173 hospitals have been listed in the state under the Ayushman scheme started in 2018, which includes 587 private and 586 government hospitals.
