Jhansi (UP), Oct. 8 -- Three members of a family were electrocuted while attempting to clean a choked pipeline near a high-tension electricity line in the Prem Nagar area of Jhansi early this morning.
The incident occurred early morning near Dayashankar Sahu's three-storey house located close to a canal.
According to reports, Dayashankar's son, Praveen Sahu, was cleaning a blocked pipe using a long iron wire when the wire accidentally came in contact with an 11,000 KV high-tension line running just a few feet from the building.
The electric shock severely injured Praveen. Upon witnessing the incident, his mother Ranjana Sahu and grandmother Vimla Sahu rushed to save him but were also electrocuted in the process.
