Azamgarh, Feb. 17 -- A car carrying pilgrims from Nepal rammed into a divider in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh district on Monday morning, police said.

Three people, including husband and wife, died in this accident, while four others were injured.

Police sources said all the victims were residents of Deodar municipality in Rupam Dehi district of Nepal.

The accident took place on the Azamgarh-Varanasi highway when they had gone to take a bath in Prayagraj from Nepal on February 15.

The deceased were identified as Deepa (35), her husband Ganesh (45) and Ganga (40).

The injured have been identified as Ritik Dubey (21), Kopila Devkala Devi (35), Avishankar (25) and Shubham Pokhral (22). Prima facie, the cause of the accident is believed to ...
