Colombo, Feb. 14 -- Sri Lanka will establish three international universities, State Minister of Higher Education Suren Raghavan said on Wednesday.

Two of the three universities are under construction and the third is scheduled to commence operations by May of this year, Raghavan said.

The three universities will be affiliated with universities in India, the United States and the United Kingdom respectively, the minister said.
