Sydney, June 16 -- Three people have been injured in a shooting in Sydney's western suburbs on Monday.
Police in the state of New South Wales (NSW) said in a statement that emergency services were called to a public place shooting in Auburn, 17 km west of central Sydney, at about 1:15 p.m. local time on Monday.
It said that three people with gunshot wounds were being treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics. A crime scene has been established, and surrounding streets have been closed.
